Successful candidates must have NC certification, and have demonstrated high energy for creating positive change. Applicants must have strong instructional computing skills. Formalize lesson plans for instructional periods and modify as needed.
Relate instructional objectives to elementary curriculum Common Core standards and demonstrate effective decision-making instructional goals.
Determine students’ performance using informal and formal assessments and observation
Adhere to discipline policy as articulated by the school and develop and implement an appropriate classroom management system.
Share responsibility during the school day for the supervision of students in all areas of the school;
Present lessons in a clear, well-organized and logical structure, embracing enthusiasm and optimism.
Use a variety of instructional materials such as contextual, supplemental, teacher-constructed, audio-visual, hands-on, discovery and activity-based learning.
Plan and prepare classroom setting, oversee safety and educational programs, and supervise children in the classroom;
Provide a supportive environment in which children can learn and practice appropriate and acceptable individual and group behaviors; and
Create a classroom environment conducive to learning by employing a variety of appropriate teaching strategies.

Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or equivalent
Licensed teaching credential
