Math Matters

Students and staff at Hope Charter School know that  “Math Matters”.  Math skills of all students in grades one through five have been assessed.  As a result, a Math Skills Academy has been established.  Small groups of students in grades three, four, and five are involved in an intense study of the different phases of measurement. Through the use of measuring tools and teacher and student interactive activities, students have gained a greater understanding of the importance of measurement in everyday life and are beginning to apply it to real life situations.  After completion of our study of measurement, we will move on to another strain of mathematics.
