Students and siblings of those students who currently attend Hope Elementary Charter School during the 2013-2014 school year have first priority to attend Hope Elementary Charter during the 2014-2015 school year. Hope Elementary will send home and collect Letters of Intent to Return to students currently enrolled at Hope Elementary Charter. Letters of Intent to Return are due on Friday, February 14th. Failure to sign and return a Letter of Intent to Return by the deadline may result in your child losing their spot and being withdrawn from school.
Upon notification from the school that your child has been accepted to Hope Elementary Charter School you will then be required to complete the Enrollment Application. Please be sure to see the list of required documents, which will be required with the application in order for the application to be complete once your child has been accepted.
Emergency Contact Information (including telephone and address)
Waiting Lists To the extent that demand for enrollment exceeds available capacity for prospective students, Hope Elementary Charter School shall create a waiting list by grade. Hope Elementary Charter will maintain the waiting list and notify parents as opening present themselves based on enrollment. Hope Elementary Charter School does not maintain the waiting list from the previous school year. Parents should re-submit an application for the following school year during that year's application period. Hope Elementary may institute a Lottery system for enrollment. In accordance with North Carolina State Law, Hope Elementary provides admission policies that allow all children the chance to gain admission. Children will be eligible for admission regardless of race, cultural background, intellectual ability, or physical impairment.
Parental Involvement Plan and Policy The Key to Success at Hope Elementary Charter School
The No Child Left Behind Act contains many requirements related to parent involvement and notification. A substantive number of these requirements can be found in the Title I school Parental Involvement Plan and Policies. Each school is required to develop a written Parental Involvement Plan and Policy. This policy must be developed jointly with, agreed on with, and distributed to parents. The Hope Elementary 2014-2015 Parent Advocacy Committee developed and reviewed the following linked policy and has agreed on the communication. The policy will describe how the school will carry out the requirements of:
Shared Responsibilities for High Student Growth
Building Capacity for Involvement
Please make sure that you review the Parental Involvement Policy as well as the Student-Parent-Teacher-Administrator Compact Agreement. A signed Student-Parent-Teacher Administrator Compact Agreement copy should be sent back to the school to your child's teacher. Thank you for your involvement and support in your child's school and academic success!
