My philosophy of education is “I believe that every child should be given an opportunity to learn in an environment where he/she feels free to explore and express themselves. They should have teachers that are caring, fun, passionate about their job and firm when they need to be.”

I like to laugh with my students, dance with my students, sing with my students, and play with my students. I like to read to my students everyday.
I am definitely a life-long learner, because I still learn something new every day.I have high expectations for my students.

I received my associate degree in Early Childhood Education from The Bank Street College of New York. I have 14 years of Preschool and
Pre-K Teaching experience. I received My BA in Elementary Education K-6 in May 1989. I taught at Crosby Headstart for one year, and in The Wake County Public School System for 11 years. I’ve been teaching at Hope Charter School for 6 years. I enjoy teaching Kindergarten and plan to teach another 25 years.
