My name is Kathleen Paredi.  I attended Dowling College in New York where Iearned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.  When I first began teaching I wanted to experience something different and began my teaching career in New York City Public Schools.  I loved it!

I am married and have two sons. My family and I decided to relocate to North Carolina where we spent four years outside of Charlotte. We then decided that Charlotte was too far from things we love such as the beach and cultural events. We decided to move to Raleigh and we love it! We have met wonderful people and have gotten to the beach several times.

When a child enters my classroom, I want them to feel safe and know that they are able to ask questions. I want every student in my class to feel successful. I love when my students ask questions. I believe that upon leaving my class, children will have a better understanding of how important it is to become a lifelong learner.
